1. Preparation of trip A. Passport and Visa You'd better apply the independent passport. So you are convenient to get outside, register the hotel and change the travel route on accident. Normally, the travel agency applies s the passport for you. You can apply it at China Embassy in your country too. B. Clothes and shoes you should take What the clothes and shoes you would take depend on your habit. Some casual and relax clothes are the best choices. We suggest you take some casual shoes because of the probably long walk on shore. In summer: It is comparative hot and long sunshine time among the area of the Three Gorges. You'd better prepare the hat, sunglass and sun cream, etc. In spring: Please prepare sweater, jacket and the proof-water dustcoat with hat. In winter: Please prepare the proof-water overcoat and thick jacket for the cold outside during the sailing. C. On board ( Preparation of Certificates) The ship tickets or the board certificates, which took from our agency, are the certificates of your board. It is the same process as check in the hotel, that you should show your Identification certification, such as passport, ID card, Taiwan residents card, hometown card and so on. If your certificate is behind the time or no used, you maybe are refused to board. D. Travel Assurance You'd better apply all travel insurance before the trip in your country. The Currency in China The circulars currency in China now is only the RMB. The basic units of the RMB are called Yuan, Jiao, Fen. The par value of Yuan has 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 2, and 1. The par value of Jiao has 5, 2 and 1. The par value of Fen has 5,2 and 1. You can exchange more than ten types of currency, such as USD, Japanese Yen, Hongkong dollar, French Franc, British Pound, etc on the ships. The rate of exchange depends on the one at that day publicized by Chinese government. You can take travel check, which is more convenient than cash. The European countries', American, Japanese travel check which the Bank of China may receive all are accepted. The international credit card is wild used too.
